Tanks Unplugged – Jeanette Wormald, Savidas, Katie Jay

The Tanks Unplugged series returns in 2017 showcasing the best of live and local music from around the far north.

The May show proudly presents three headline acts comprising of Jeanette Wormald, Savidas and Katie Jay.

Jeanette Wormald’s music and lyrics are inspired by the land’s people, environment and colours.

Wormald’s feminine style, perceptive songs and powerful presence has earned her national and international acclaim for its celebration of Australia’s colonial and Indigenous heritage.

Bluegrass/hip hop two-piece Savidas have rocked some of the best venues and festivals thrilling audiences Australia wide.

Born to entertain, the duo’s ability to entice the crowds with their extremely catchy songs have secured them a tour of the whole east Coast of Australia.

In her debut Tanks performance, the irrepressible Katie Jay will perform with her band The Code after wowing crowds in San Francisco and recently launching her album You’re a Dreamer.

Winner of the Songwriters’ Award at the Tablelands Folk Festival with her track River, Katie’s compositions have been described as deeply personal and heart rending.
