This week will be the last Resonate for 2017, we will be having a few weeks break and return early in the new year, thanks to all the players punters, and Grand regulars that have made the Sunday afternoon gig a success. Thanks also to Darren and the awesome crew at the Grand.
You can chill out this Sunday afternoon to the sounds of Valerie Villa from 3pm. Master song craftsman Steve Williams will be playing the 4pm set and The talk of the recent Yungaburra Folk Festival “The Brassett Hounds” will be playing the 5pm set.
Come down and join us for a chrissy drink or 7 and enjoy NQs longest running and best sounding original music gig!
Presented by Pandamonium Records and originally starting in 2003 at the Courthouse Hotel on Thursday nights, and then for several years back and forth between the Grand Hotel and the Courthouse Hotel, Resonate has recently returned to the Grand with a new Sunday afternoon session format. Resonate has become a local institution with Dan Sultan, Emma Louise, Danny Ross, Steve Towson and many more having all played Resonate early in their careers. Resonate is not an open mic night, and all artists are paid to ensure the best quality original artists are attracted and quality control is maintained. Resonate supports a sustainable local music industry.
Resonate kicks off at 3pm every Sunday at the Grand Hotel Cairns. Entry is free.
Resonate is on rain hail or shine with plenty of cover from the elements at the Grand
