The CAM TV Episode 6

The CAM TV is a a music TV show all about Cairns Area Musicians (CAM) and after 6 episodes, it is just scratching the surface. Hosted by local muso and film-maker Brett Charles, each episode features high quality (you’ll be surprised) music videos by local artists along with interviews and general news about new releases and who’s kicking goals around the place. This region has always punched well above its weight when it comes to talented musicians and if there is any justice in the world, Cairns will one day be known as the “New Orleans of Australia”.

Episode 6, released just last week features the new clip for punk band No Hype’s single “The River”. The boys have just embarked on an east coast tour and have a tour of Japan locked in for early 2015. The Red Couch interview this episode features two of the regions’s greatest jazz players, father and son, Junior and Tommy See Poy. History and immense talent right there; inspirational. Also inthis episode, queen of blues radio, Irene B gets Andy Sugarcane Collins in the studio to chat and Sugarcane gives us an accoustic version of one of the tracks of his new CD. The show wraps up with the incredibly tongue in cheek clip by local rockers Sworf, “White Wedding” which is hilarious.

The CAM TV comes out on youtube once every 2 months or so. Support your local music industry and share the link with your friends!
