Custard – Just Desserts

Much-loved 90’s indie guitar-pop legends Custard are back to serve up their sweet, witty and outlandish hits.

Part of the wave of Brisbane bands that came through in the ‘90s alongside Regurgitator and Powderfinger, Custard released five albums and memorable singles, Apartment, Girls Like That (Don’t Go For Guys Like Us), Anatomically Correct, Music is Crap just to name a few. The band developed a cult following, playing countless shows around the country and overseas.

In 2015, after a 16 year break, they ventured into the studio and produced Come Back All Is Forgiven, which “…sounds just like Custard,’’ founding member Glenn Thompson said.

Frontman Dave McCormack says: “Some bands get back together and only want to play the new material, that’s definitely not us, we get so much out of playing the old songs and seeing people happy.”

Custard play The Tanks Arts Centre on Friday 24th of July. Tickets available through Ticketlink

So snap up your tickets, as this prime dessert morsel won’t last the main course!
