“A Letter From Death Row” for HBO starring Martin Sheen and Charlie Sheen.
That’s nine #1’s and hits, and dozens of album cuts with album sales nearing 20 million.
Max T Barnes is coming to Cairns in February next year for a songwriting contest in conjunction with Max’s full day seminars. NQ songwriters will have a chance of pitching their very best song to a panel of judges headed by Max himself. Twelve songwriters/performers judged as our best (on the day) by a panel of 3 of our most respected and talented musos here in Cairns (determined by whom I wonder?), will get the chance to again show their talent or present their song to Max and the panel of 3 judges when Max arrives here in Cairns early next year (around Feb, but dates are still to be announced). Max will take 3 of the best of the 12 songs back to Nashville to play for his publisher/plugger. Not only that, but Max will also take back with him to Nashville a song from everyone who attends his seminars. He will critique each song and personally (through email or Skype) inform each songwriter the quality of that song.”
There is no indication of wether you have to pay to go in this competition/workshop or who the actual judges are except for Max T Barnes himself. It seems it’s another day, another band competition in Cairns, so as usual proceed with caution and don’t be afraid to ask questions before entering. Most of the songs playing on Max T Barnes’s web site seem to have a distinctly country flavour them, so you milage may vary depending on your genre.
