After two years since their last release, the ever growing Cairns hip hop band The Taste burst back onto the airwaves with a new release and lyric clip for their newest track ‘The Hands Of’.
Recorded by Luke Green and mixed by Sam Wright at The Rec Room in Townsville, the track features a funky buffet of instrumentation with sizzling guitar, bobbing trumpet and lush female vocals. Lyrically, rapper Vainz explores modern day issues with capitalism and the effects it has on our surrounding environment.
‘Blessed with The Hands Of creation. Cursed with The Hands Of destruction. Deface the land, replace the land. Create a plan to take land from another man’. (Chorus Lyrics)
Mastered by Grammy away winner William Bowden at King Willy Sound, ‘The Hands Of’ is the start of a big year for The Taste with an impending album set for release in mid-2017.
