Cairns Festival Fri 25th Aug – Sun 3rd Sept

Cairns Festival is an annual 10-day celebration of art, culture and the beauty of living in Tropical North Queensland. Each August, Cairns Festival proudly hosts a kaleidoscope of culture, arts, music, comedy, visual arts, and family events celebrating the beauty and rich cultural heritage of living where the sun and sand meet the city.

Kicking off on 25th August, Cairns Festival will present a plethora of touring and local based entertainment from cultural acts, multimedia, performance art, theatre and many live music events ranging from gospel to heavy rock.

Festival headquarters will be at The Cairns Courthouse Gallery where a stage on the front lawn will be built. There will also be another main stage on the esplanade, along with performances at other council venues such as The Tanks Arts Centre, CPAC , Munro Martin Parklands, The Botanic Gardens and esplanade Western and Eastern lawn areas.

Many of the events are free entry, you can check out a comprehensive list of what’s happening at https://www.cairns.qld.gov.au/festival and as usual, stay tuned to NQ Music Press for upcoming festival highlights!
