The Cat Empire

The Cat Empire Sellout

When we announced the first Cat Empire show at the Tanks, we predicted it would sellout. It turns out we were right, and then some!

The Cat Empire’s first two shows at Tanks Arts Centre – scheduled for Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June 2016 – have both sold out. Due to popular demand, an unprecedented third show has now been announced for Wednesday 1st June. Tickets for the third and final The Cat Empire show are on sale today, from 9am.

For over a decade, The Cat Empire has been known far and wide as one of the world’s greatest party bands. Their colourful, genre-bending music, shipped across the globe in traveller’s backpacks, seems at home almost anywhere.

Difficult to describe and impossible to categorise, The Cat Empire’s reputation is built upon a chaotic and fiercely uplifting live show that, in 2015, over half a million people bought tickets to see. The band has announced yet another global tour for 2016 in support of the release of their album Rising With The Sun. Front man Felix Riebl explains the new album as “an explosive world, filled with fireworks, exotic flavours and deep rhythm”.

The Cat Empire writes songs that make people dance, and music that makes you feel like you have just been swept up in a big, colourful, cacophonous parade. Don’t let the parade pass you by – grab your tickets to the Rising With The Sun Tour now!

Both the first two The Cat Empire shows have sold out in record time. This third show on Wednesday 1st June will definitely sell-out. Don’t hesitate, grab your tickets now.
