With the rash of cancelled festivals lately, we are gonna try and put a smile back on ya musical dial when The Panda Room and Mountain View Hotel present ‘SPLENDOUR BY THE RIVER’ a FREE mini music fest on Saturday the 18th of May.

Steve Williams

Steve Wiliams would have to be one of FNQ’s most gifted songwriters, he seems to have the ability to write a song and melody that Neil Finn would have giveen his left nut to have written! His sooulful vocals always drive the song home too! Steve normally fronts the bands Pelicana (featuring Aria hall of fame inductee Ben Hakalitz, Mike Rivett and Papa Stanley) and Finding Time, but at Spendour will be doing a solo showcase set showing off his songs in their purest form.

The Brazilians

The Howlin Dingoes

We are excited to have the Howlin Dingoes play the headline set at Splendour. A Seven pieces original blues-rock-soul-funk band from the Atherton Tablelands, giving a bit of an NQ twist to the blues by adding a bit of didge into the mix!

SPLENDOUR BY THE RIVER kicks off from 6.30pm Saturday the 18th of May. Entry is free, and a courtesy coach is available for transport to and from the venue if you are in Gordonvale or Edmondton, you are advised to pre book the Courtesy Coach on (07) 4056 1723

And oh yeah.. ENTRY IS FREE! but as the venue is licensed (with an awesome selection of ice cold beers on tap including Copperlode and Hemmingways) there is Strictly NO BYO, so take note Panda Room regulars who are used to the BYO frendly Big Trevs (Did we mention entry is free though?).
