FNQ Music at The Tanks

Due to the whole Covid fiasco, there’s not a whole lot of touring action of late, so time to check what’s happening in your own backyard!

The Tanks keeps good vibes rolling post-Cairns Festival with nine nights of entirely homegrown FNQ music. The program is designed to support our local music industry and activates one of Australia’s favourite music venues; the Tanks Arts Centre.

With eight additional shows going on sale today, joining Mau Power who will be performing in Tank 5 on Friday 15 October. The program officially kicks off on Saturday 18 September with Vivien Aisi, Tessa Devine and GeorgiaXByrne.

In partnership with the Arts Queensland, supported by the Queensland Government the program also features local stars including Greta Stanley, The Ironing Maidens, Lara Biggs, Tegan Koster Project, Mike Rivett, The Joker Pokers, Cold Water Band, Eddie Skiba, Jessy Lynch, Lady Valiant, R.3.B, The Brazilians and Swamp Donkey.

In celebration of the array of talent in the diverse Cairns region, the series aims to increase participation in the local live music scene. It will sustain industry professionals, stimulate employment opportunities, support economic and cultural activity and develop regional destinations for music fans.

The program promises to offer a range of rock, jazz, dance and much more beginning on Saturday 18 September and carries through to Saturday 13 November. See the full program below.
