In typical Daigo Kwik Fashion, they wrote the song “Haka” the night before recording it at Pandamonium Studio for the Northern Exposure 2021 compilation, in fact they were still writing it as they recorded it. Sometimes, spontanaity is best. We caught up with the enigmatic character known as Daigo Kwik on what inspired the song..

“It is just a story about an old friend, a troubled soul from the start. Son of a crack head, he stabbed a bloke when I was seventeen, went to jail for many years. Fifteen years later, I saw him on the news, being chased by helicopters doing 155 on the highway, with the look of the devil in his eyes, I think he had kidnapped somebody and had half the police force chasing him”

Daigo Kwik will be performing at the massive launch party for Northern Exposure 2021 at Skypark (A.J Hacket) on the 17th of April along with the 15 other bands featured on the compilation.
