Greta Stanley Bedroom Guitar

Greta Stanley

Local songstress Greta Stanley has been doing well since her return from Melbourne. A regular at Resonate gigs, Greta disapeared down south for some time, and was missed dearly by her NQ friends and fans, but success seems to have caught up with her since her return. Greta recently won the JJJ Goovin the Moo compettion and is JJJ Unearthed featured artist of the week with her new track “Drunk Dreams”

A dash of guitar, a bit of something sweet, very pretty and a little bit gritty is how Greta Stanley’s music is best described. After a hectic two years following the release of her Debut EP ‘Bedroom City’, the 22-year-old songstress is about to unpack a suitcase of brand new songs into a studio before hanging them in the homes of her adoring listeners later this year.

Greta has so far supported the likes of Boy & Bear, The Rubens, Kingswood and Emma Louise, to name only a few. Her EP was recorded at Big Sister Studios with Producer Mark Myers (The Middle East, Emma Louise, Passenger, The Starry Field) and was released to critical acclaim in May 2015. What followed was a Qld Music Award nomination – significant airplay on national and local radio, rotation on triple j unearthed and her tracks being added to Spotify discovery playlists.

Greta is currently working on new material for her Debut LP due out later in the year. Catch Greta live at the Townsville Groovin line up in late April 2017.
