Townsville-based Rock Trio Why Wait is releasing their new 7-track EP, Chemistry, the long- slated follow-up to their 2014 debut, Disconnected. It comes off the back of strong praise for lead singles “Chemicals” and “Dreaming Of…”.

Chemistry leans more towards a heavier, guitar-driven sound than Disconnected for the most part, as can be heard in “Dreaming Of…”. The band has had a turbulent couple of years, both personally and musically, and this is reflected in the more direct, emotional lyrics of the new EP.

The band will hit the ground running in support of the EP, heading out on the road with The Living End and The Bennies for dates in Townsville and Airlie Beach. They’ll then return for a hometown launch at original music hotspot The Loona Lounge, before getting in the van again for dates in Cairns, Mackay and then the southern capital cities.
