Following from the success of Tasty Jam 1 in December 2015, The Taste Cairns bring their original music collaborative to The Jack for TASTY JAM 2 on Fri 29th April. The Tasty Jam concept invites 1 band, 1 solo performer and 1 MC to perform alongside The Taste for an event that encourages original music and collaboration. The second installments line up packs plenty of punch with reggae rock giants Crossroads making the trip up from Townsville alongside local performers Ino Reeves and Diggis. Hosted by The Taste very own front man Vainz, the event will kick off with a special solo set by ‘The Boogie Man’ Chris Oakshott and also feature a set from The Taste. The lead guitar stylings of Moses Warusan will also be on show during the night and a special ‘collaborative’ set involving all artists is on the cards.
Coming off a big weekend performing alongside Crossroads in Townsville at the ‘No Worries Reggae Party’, The Taste lead singer and guitarist Matt Mullins said:
“Crossroads are incredibly good band and we are super excited they’re coming to Cairns. If you love your Reggae I have no doubt you will love these guys. They are not to be missed!”
The band are also offering a special Artist Sampler CD with all $10 Pre purchased tickets sold before the event. The Sampler CD contains tracks from all 6 acts appearing on the night and is a great incentive to pre purchase tickets.
“We wanted to give the audience something to look forward to by offering a Sampler CD. I think it’s a great way for people to look forward to the gig, by giving them an idea of what to expect. So far they’ve been really well received”.
