Following on from two massive Hip Hop Nights in 2015 and a packed Black Image concert a few weeks back, Raintrees Tavern presents ‘Hip Hop Night Version 3’ this Friday 3rd June at Raintrees from 9pm. Featuring the cream of the crop of North Queensland’s best MC’s, the night boasts a stellar line up of talent including Diggis, Fresh Flavour, Vainz, R.3.B, Mind Split and Mix Blood Brothers.
With an increased injection of live original music planned for Raintrees Tavern over the next few months, Tavern Manager and Event organiser Jahmin Daga said:
“As a musician myself, I realise how hard it is to get your foot in the door, especially when you’re wanting to play original music. I’m glad to be in a position to offer a helping hand and help upcoming and established musicians reach a larger audience. Hip Hop Night V3 is the first of our original nights this year, followed by Roots Rock & Reggae night on June 24.”
After a recent performance at the Collaborations Festival Launch, Kuranda based MC Diggis will be making the trip down the range for the event and is very much looking forward to checking out the other performers.
“There are not many Hip Hop nights in Cairns so to have a great line up of talented local artists all in one show is a big boost for the FNQ scene. Past Hip Hop nights at Raintrees Tavern have been a great way to reach out to new listeners and check out other local crews” said Diggis.
With a huge line up of local MC’s, the 3rd instalment of Raintrees Hip Hop Night’s is set to be bigger and better than ever this Friday 3rd June at Raintrees Tavern.
