Last week we staged Resonate out on the front lawn of the courthouse and it was very well received by passing people who pretty much had filled up the front lawn of the Courthouse by the end of Bosko & Honey’s amazing set.
This week, Acoustic soul diva Jillian Jones makes her Resonate debut. Now based in Cairns, Jillian (pictured above) has just finished her second album “Maps and Mystics” She has recieved invitations to play the V8 Supercars, Adelaide Fringe, Brunswick Music Festival, and the Bridgetown Blues Festival. Jillian has honed an instinct for audience expectations and the ability to deliver a live performance that takes listeners on a journey. We are excited to have her appear on the Resonate stage this Sunday.
The Taste make their welcome return to Resonate this Sunday. The Taste have been popping up everywhere lately with their roots brand of acoustic hip hop. These guys held Resonate punters and venue staff in awe last time they played at the old Resonate venue with rapper Vainz’s lighting speed raps.
Rebecca Langtree will be playing the 4pm slot this week. Rebecca has a very unique voice and a load of very tasty originals. This will be Becs first gig on the new Resonate stage and we look forward to having her back!
Popular troubadour Jeremiah Johnson will also be returning this week. Jeremiah has recently released his new CD “Humming Of The Axis” and you can be sure you will be treated to some tracks off his latest release on Sunday. Check out Mitch Sullivan’s excellent review of Humming Of the Axis here.
Resonate kicks off at 2pm every Sunday at Cairns Courthouse Hotel. Entry is free.
Resonate is on rain hail or shine. In the event of bad weather Resonate will be moved inside to the main bar area.
