Steve Williams is somewhat of a Resonate veteran having played regularly at the original Resonate back when it was staged at the Courthouse Hotel, and also at the last run of Resonate at the Grand. This Thursday 21st April will be the first time Steve has played Resonate for a few years and the big fella will be debuting his new album “Mosey”. Steve recorded the album himself and played all instruments on the album. A gifted tunesmith, Steve writes songs that will stick with you long after the gig. Get in early to catch Steve’s set from 7.00pm
Jeremiah Johnson will be playing the 8.20 slot this week. Jeremiah has been busy lately trying to raise funds to buy a tour bus, and his crowd funding campaign has reportedly raised over $7000 so far. Jeremiah recently released his new studio album ‘Humming Of The Axis’ and premiered his latest film clip “Cracks in the Concrete”.
PaddyJ will be playing the 9.30 Resonate set this week. PaddyJ (AKA Patric Jung) is one of the good guys of the local original music scene. An instantly likeable chap with a genuine love of creating original music. Encompassing a prodigious body of original work stretching back to the mid nineties, he is also one of the most prolific and eclectic songwriters around. From the 90’s proto-grunge outfit “Infamous Izzy” Jung fronted on guitar and vocals, to his bass playing with folk rock band The Killer Beez, Paddy is a true musical maverick.
Resonate is staged every Thursday night at the Grand Hotel in Cairns. Resonate blasts off at 7.00pm and entry is free!
