The Music and Colour Festival – Kuranda Amphitheatre

Featuring a stellar line up of local, interstate and overseas acts, the upcoming Music and Colour Festival at Kuranda Amphitheatre on Sat 31st October is set to bring people from all walks of life together to celebrate music, life and colours in our own North Queensland backyard.

Also known as the Festival of Love as it cultivated a ‘one-ness’ in mankind, the ancient Hindu religious festival has become increasingly popular with non-Hindus all over the world and is well known for participants covering each other in bright colours to signify good over evil.

Our version of the event will have a strong focus on Reggae, Soul and the local art of Didgeridoo, with the festival to be opened by Kuranda’s own The Howlin Dingoes and  headlined by international reggae act King B-Fine (pictured) from West Africa.

Festival organiser Raj Yadav said:

“The live music performances by these talented artists as well as the beautiful colours will make this a day to remember.”

The line-up also includes Zion Train (Germany), Terra (Melb) and local outfits The Taste, In The Element and Savidas.

“We’re got a really great line up of talent on board.  I’m really looking forward to bringing this event to Kuranda. It truly will be an unforgettable day!”.

One act that’s definitely looking forward to the festival is Cairns locals In The Element, who recently wowed crowds at Wallaby Creek Festival.

Neil Stewart from In The Element said:

“We are super excited to play at the Music and Colour festival at the Kuranda Amphitheatre, we have seen some amazing artists grace that stage and we feel very privileged to share our music there to.”
