Seeker Lover Keeper – Wild Seeds

Beloved Australian supergroup Seeker Lover Keeper have revealed the release of their highly anticipated new album and are hitting the road to celebrate.

Titled, Wild Seeds, the album is the second full-length product of the all-female trio made up of Australian singer-songwriters Sarah Blasko, Sally Seltmann and Holly Throsby.

The extensive national tour will take place throughout September/October this year and features 14 stops including Tanks Arts Centre on October 5.

“Wild Seeds is our second album as Seeker Lover Keeper,” Sally says.

“This time around we decided to co-write all of the songs together, throwing ideas back and forth in Holly’s small studio, and sitting side by side at the piano in Sarah’s cosy lounge room.”

Accompanying the news of the album comes the release of the title track and second single Wild Seeds with theatrics captured in an extraordinary new video featuring a captivating performance by Yael Stone – star of Netflix’s TV international hit series Orange Is The New Black.

“It is such an honour for us to have Yael Stone performing Wild Seeds in this video,” Sally says.

“She is an actor – and a person – of integrity, honesty and strength. The song is about the wildness of youth, and Yael’s performance is both wild and intense, as well as darkly hilarious. We watch her in awe.”

The video was produced with award-winning director Natalie Van Den Dungen who was behind the iconic video for ‘Let It Out’, which featured Australian actress Magda Szubanski.

A collection of 12 songs, Wild Seeds is the long-awaited follow-up to their 2011 self-titled debut, which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Album Chart and has been certified Gold.

Wild Seeds will be officially released Friday 9 August via Liberation Records.

Brisbane musician McKisko is the official support act for the Cairns show taking place on Saturday 5 October. Tickets available through Ticketlink
