Merry Xmas to all our readers from everyone here at NQ Music Press.

It’s been a bit of a turbulent year for the local music scene, with local venues either changing hands or shutting down completely. But on a positive note, our readership has grown, and our 2 major sponsors have had multiple sellout shows that we are proud to have helped promote. We have not only gotten to speak with lots of international legends during the course of our interviews, but also lots of local legends, which is what really makes us tick.

We would like to think we have made the main stream press work a bit harder trying to keep up with us and support live music a bit better.

We are looking forward to doing it all again in the upcoming year and definitely have a few surprises in store.

A big thank you to all our writers, because as all the publicists keep telling us, we really do have some of the best music writers around. Special mention should of course go to Mitch Sullivan who has gone above and beyond doing interviews when other Team members were unavailable. We would not have been able to do half the interview we did this year if it weren’t for Mitch.

We are going to take a break for a week or so and will be back rearing to go early in the new year. It’s pretty quiet this time of year on the local music scene, but if there is any breaking news, rest assured, as per usual we will be all over it!
