Gig goers around town would no doubt be familiar with MC/Rapper Vainz from his regular gigs with acoustic hip hop act The Taste. He has left himself and audiences around town breathless with his lightning speed raps. Well, it seems the lad has been busy on a solo project in-between gigs with the Taste, and we are about to hear the fruits of his labour.

Vainz releases his long awaited solo project titled “Fortress Of Thoughts” on Friday the 19th of June at The Jack alongside a stellar line up of FNQ’s finest Hip Hop talent, including: GRILLA DVISION, R.3.B , VEXED, FRESH FLAVOUR , MIXED BLOOD BROTHERS and DIGGIS along with special guest appearances by Deadset, Code Of Honour, Gypsie, and Matt Mullins.

2015 has been a massive year for Vainz, building an impressive resume supporting Aussie Hip Hops biggest names such as 360, Thundamentals and Seth Sentry as well as chalking up shows in Byron Bay, Brisbane, Townsville and Airlie Beach. His band The Taste released their debut album Reflections and most recently impressed at Palm Creek Folk Festival winning a new legion of fans.

The 9 track ‘Fortress Of Thoughts’ was mixed by Mark Myers and features the first video Phoning Home.

Vainz launches Fortress Of Thoughts at The Jack on Friday 19th June. 7pm till Late. $10 entry receives a free copy of Fortress Of Thoughts.
