Indie/folk/pop singer-songwriter, Amber Farnan, hailing from Cooktown, and now settled in Cairns, crafts songs of raw emotion with euphoric and luminous textures and timbres, weaving a tapestry of graphic and compelling lyrics. Growing up in Cooktown, isolated her from the music scene, and drove her determination to pursue music.
Amber’s song writing is Inspired by the planet and calamitous and unparalleled life experiences she has encountered in her 17 years around the sun.
Farnan’s high-powered vocals and wistful harmonies scored her a finalist position in the 2018 ‘Queensland Music Awards’ and highly commended in 2020. She has played at many national music Festivals, performed with the ‘Queensland Symphony Orchestra’ and was one of the 2018 ‘Big Sky Girls’. She was a 2019 National song writing competition winner and co-writing student ambassador for the ‘Music Count Us In’ program alongside John Foreman and Jack River.
