Hailing from Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland, Transparent Komeleon are a rock power trio who sing about sex, drugs, alcohol, and how the roadwork’s on the Kuranda Range suck. The band are Influenced by classic bands such as AC/DC, The Living End and Green Day. Fronted by Max Munro on guitar and lead vocal (Ex No Hype/Munitions) and his sibling Ace (Ex Munitions) on drums, the brothers formed the band in 2017 and recruited (Ex Snake Oyl Bassist) Joshua Ekblad and have not looked back since.
Since the 2020 lockdown dramas, the guys have been writing new material and laying down their debut tracks in the studio. I caught up with Max for a quick chat ahead of their Panda Room debut this Saturday night (3rd Dec)..
“We really loved the experience of recording some of our new tracks as it has brought us closer together and has made us a tighter group overall.” explained Max
The band have just released some of the fruits of their labour with the single ‘ 7 Fingers’ which Max says is about “Someone that is lacking confidence and tries to conquer their issues by going down a path of destruction”
The band have a reputation as a formidable live act and Max says that punters at The Panda Room gig can expect “A band that goes beyond just sounding fantastic, but also provides a lot of visual entertainment.”
We have added 7 Fingers to the top of the NQ Music Press Radio Playlist, give it a spin!
