Resonate – Glider Pilots, Eli, Rebecca Langtree, PaddyJ

We braved the bad weather threatening Resonate last Sunday and held the gig on the front lawn of the courthouse hotel regardless. It was only during the last third of Eddie Skiba’s awesome set that a bit of rain fell and dampened an otherwise fantastic afternoon.

This Sunday from 3pm at Cairns Courthouse Hotel you can catch brother and sister duo Glider Pilots, the tuneful troubadour Eli, the always delightful Rebecca Langtree and one of NQ’s most eclectic and talented songwriters PaddyJ who will be making a rare live appearance. Paddy was an important part of local folk rock icons
“The Killer Bees” and seminal grunge rock outfit “Infamous Izzy”. Paddy will no doubt be playing some old favourites from both these bands along with tracks from his new album “Songs From Outa Space”

Presented by Pandamonium Records and originally starting in 2003 at the Courthouse Hotel on Thursday nights, and then for several years at the Grand Hotel, Resonate has recently returned to the Cairns Courthouse Hotel with a new Sunday afternoon session format. Resonate has become a local institution with Dan Sultan, Emma Louise, Danny Ross, Steve Towson and many more having all played Resonate early in their careers. Resonate is not an open mic night, and all artists are paid to ensure the best quality original artists are attracted and quality control is maintained.

Resonate kicks off at 3pm every Sunday at Cairns Courthouse Hotel. Entry is free.

Resonate is on rain hail or shine. In the event of bad weather Resonate will be moved inside to the main bar area.
