A nice busy Resonate last Sunday with a front lawn full of eager punters soaking up the sounds of local original music at the Courthouse Hotel. Pandamonium Records has already been taking Resonate bookings from touring acts who are keen to play at Resonate in it’s new home at Cairns Courthouse Hotel, including one recently much televised artist..
This week you can catch the very cream of local talent with Ray Danes, Whiskey Boat (making their debut at the new Resonate), Katie Jay and Brealyn Sheehan. Brealyn will be playing tracks off her recently released “Temptations Door” E.P with her trio which includes Papa Stanley on double bass and Johnny Tyler on guitar.
Presented by Pandamonium Records and originally starting in 2003 at the Courthouse Hotel on Thursday nights, and then for several years at the Grand Hotel, Resonate has recently returned to the Cairns Courthouse Hotel with a new Sunday afternoon session format. Resonate has become a local institution with Dan Sultan, Emma Louise, Danny Ross, Steve Towson and many more having all played Resonate early in their careers.
Resonate kicks off at 2pm every Sunday at Cairns Courthouse Hotel. Entry is free.
Resonate is on rain hail or shine. In the event of bad weather Resonate will be moved inside to the main bar area.
