Resonate seems to be building in popularity lately and we have three more of NQs best acts for your musical pleasure this Thursday night.
Playing the 7pm slot is Vanilla Bones. Vanilla Bones is the name Ruth Young goes under when she plays shows with her Dad, who just so happens to play a mean slide guitar and banjo.Ruth grew up in Kuranda in a musical family of “Old Hippies”. Her dad is a banjo and slide guitar player who most recently played with award winning local act “The Hillbilly Goats”. Ruth has been writing songs since the tender age of 13, spent 13 years living in Israel and by day is a doctor specialising in emergency medicine.
Playing the 8.20 slot this week is Jeremiah Johnson. No stranger to Resonate or the festival scene, Jeremiah Johnson will be playing the middle set at Resonate this week. Jeremiah is a wiz on the slide guitar, and whether playing alone or with his trio makes a big sound with his collection of guitars, loopers and effects boxes.
Playing the 9.30 slot this week is Brealyn Sheehan. The always popular Brealyn Sheehan will be playing the coveted 9.30 slot this week at Resonate. Brealyn has been in the studio recently recording an E.P and we here at NQ Music Press are very much looking forward to hearing the fruits of her labour. Stay tuned for E.P release dates!
