Palimpsest – Creating a Timeless Groove

With acclaimed vocalist Tyrone Noonan (ex. George) at the helm, this sparkling jazz act will take you on an entrancing journey across continents, cultures and song-writing eras.

The name Palimpsest refers to adding something new to something old, and Palimpsest have created a timeless groove of their own, fusing elements of swing, Latin, soul, modern and folk melodies. The jazz project from singer/songwriter Tyrone Noonan of No 1 charting, ARIA award-winning Australian band George, Palimpsest will win you over with its seriously smooth and sexy sounds.

The band’s debut album captivated music fans. Since its release, their music has been featured on many influential radio programs and club playlists throughout the UK, Europe and Australia.

Palimpsest has performed at a swag of iconic venues and events, including the Federal Budget Dinner at Canberra’s Parliament House Great Hall, the launch of the Queensland Government’s Millennium Arts Project, and festivals such as Woodford and St Kilda Fest to name a few.

Palimpsest’s debut self-titled album debuted in the AIR National Indie Top 10, followed by a successful national tour and the accolades haven’t stopped since.

Palimpsest play the Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns on Friday the 13th of November.
