Rock This Country Blue 2016

The team at Kangaventure are excited to be bringing the second Rock this Country Blue Music Festival to The Kuranda Billabong on Saturday the 15th of October 2016.

Nestled amongst pristine tropical rainforest with an outlook to eucalypt woodlands, The Billabong is a spectacular events venue specialising in tailor made, unique experiences that can be developed to meet your particular needs.

Situated in the traditional Country of the Djabugay People, Kuranda is about thirty minutes’ drive from Cairns or Palm Cove, an hour from Port Douglas and about thirty minutes’ from Mareeba. Once here you enter into the tranquility of The Billabong and the endless possibilities it holds.

Patrons can relax on facilities such as a custom-built timber deck, looking out over the water, surrounded by the ambiance of the natural Australian wildlife who call The Billabong home, including resident kangaroos, turtles, eels, lizards, butterflies. Check their website out for more information regarding venue hire, weddings and other events.

The RTCB Festival team has assembled, a fine day of what they think is a great cross section of artists drawn from the three music genres of Rock, Country and Blues. So why don’t you and your friends come on up to the Billabong, set up a camp and kick back and enjoy this fine assembly of musicians. You won’t be disappointed! Camping is free so why not stay the night?

We at Kangventure will always endeavour to support local musicians and showcase their talents alongside imported acts at all our Rock this Country Blue Music Festivals. You can also help by getting out, enjoying and supporting the local musicians and artist’s in your own local area. Support live music!
