Women in Song – Friday 4th March 2016

The Tanks 15th annual International Women’s Day music event recognises women for their achievements in the arts, and boasts some of the best local and national performers on the scene.

On this occasion the Tanks Arts Centre welcomes Deborah Conway, a powerful voice and rare female agitator for the past 30 years in a male dominated music industry. Joining her is one of Australian country music’s most celebrated and decorated artists, Sara Storer, winner of 18 Golden Guitar Awards, along with wise cracking, jump-jiving newcomer, Mojo Juju, a dynamic vocalist, entertainer and songwriter, guaranteed to give a wow-worthy performance.

Add to this the sweet sound of local singer/songwriter, Fleur McMenamin – and hosting duties in the capable hands of ABC Local Radio’s, Fiona Sewell. Women In Song is a must-attend event on the local calendar is set to deliver yet another memorable year.

This is a Tanks’ Women’s Week 2016 event, part of a series revolving around International Women’s Day, a global opportunity to celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women.
