If the last few gigs at Stratford Bowls club are anything to go by, it looks set to be a cracker on Sat the 1st of Sept when a plethora of local indie bands take to the Stratty Bowls club stage.
Meat Bikini will be launching their new album (It’s frontman/bassplayer Kane’s 50th! too). Swamp Donkey, Tropic Roots, Zephyrbees, Mod Cons, Bad Pharmer are all primed for the gig too.
Seminal NQ noise merchants Bleeding Jelly Eyes (Pictured), the precursors to Meat Bikini, will also be reuniting for one night only. BJE were one of the first bands signed to Pandamonium Records in the late 90s, and also did supports with acts like The Tea Party and Silverchair back in the day. You can check out their album “Giddyupknucklehead” here.
Entry is by gold coin donation. 5pm till late.
